Home made medicine to control Diabetics

Ingredients:
Fresh Neem Flower - 3 cups
Methi seeds - 1 1/2 cups
Fried Bengal gram - 1/2 cup

Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients one by one and when warm grind them to a coarse powder.

Having 1 tbsp of it early in the morning, and drink a glass of water. This will help in control diabetics.

To reduce stomach pain due to gastric trouble

Add 1 tbsp of  Fenugreek powder to Neer Mor (Spicy Butter Milk) and drink it sip by sip. If the Neer mor is taken to reduce stomach pain, then it is better to avoid green chillies in it.

How to cure sore throat naturally

Unless and untill it is an infection, sore throat can be cured using natural ingredients. 

1. Drinking warm tea (not so hot) mixed with one or two small pieces. The tannic acid in tea helps in releiving the soreness.

2. Many people think that lemon will increase the sore throat or cold. But the Vitamin C in the lemon will help in relieving sore throat. Make lemon juice with warm water and honey and it is a natural medicine for sore throat.

3. Taking 1 tspn of honey along with a pinch of cinnamon powder 3 times a day helps a lot.

4. The first and best thing that is advised whenever any one have a sore throat is gargling. Gargling with warm water added with rock salt. (add rock salt when the water is boiling and let it cool till it become warm so that the salt also gets dissolved).

Note: If the sore throat is along with fever, chills or severe pain, it is better to see a doctor. Avoid natural treatment.

Powder to induce hunger

Ingredients:
Cumin seeds (Jeeragam) - 2 tbsp
Pepper - 2 tbsp
Hing - 1/2 inch piece
Salt to taste

Method:
Grind cumin seeds, pepper and salt in mixie to a fine powder. Take 1/2 tsp of it and mix with hot rice the size of medium sized lemon along with 1/2 sp ghee. It is good for health and will induce hunger.

This powder helps in easy digestion.

Home Remedy for Constipation

Constipation is one major problem many face in today's life due to the change in the food and diet. There are many reasons for one to get constipated but a few of the major reasons are

1. Improper diet
2. Anxeity
3. Stress
4. Lack of Exercise
5. Lack of fluid and fibre in food intake.

Though it is always better to consult a doctor before doing any self medication, it is also better to change our personal life style and personal diet to get cured of constipation. The first thing one should do to avoid constipation is to increase the intake of water. Many feel it difficult to take the minimum required 8 glass or 1.5 litres of water every day. But if it is taken meticulously and more if the weather is warm.

Fibers are very rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, cereals and some nuts. Every day 30 gms of fibre intake is absolutely necessary for an individual.

The list of vegetables rich in fiber are:

5. Cabbage
6. Cucumber
7. Corn
8. Brocolli
9. Peas
10. Carrot

Legumes like Rajma, Black Beans all the pulses, Black - eyed peas and split peas are also rich in fibers.

Peanuts, almonds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds, chestnuts and dried coconuts also have fiber content in them. 

Cereals like Oats, Maize, Barley, Jowar, Bajra, whole wheat and especially rice(taken in a reasonable quantity), also gives the necessary fiber content for oneself.

Those who constipate should take 5 or 6 small meals with lots of fluids and the meals should also have food prepared mainly from fruits and vegetables.

One thing that every one, whether constipating or not, have to chew the food thoroughly. By chewing the food the right way, the saliva helps in breaking the food down causing the food to digest easily.

Doing mild exercise every day, and taking proper diet will definitely help in avoiding constipation.
