Recipe for Apple Jam in Microwave

It is very easy to make Apple Jam in microwave. Ingredients: Apple - 2 nos medium Sugar - 1/4 cups Cinnamon Powder - 1 Pinch Method: Peel and chop the apples. In a microwave safe bowl add the chopped apples and sugar and microwave high for 2 mins. Remove and mash the apple slightly. Add the cinnamon powder and microwave it high again for about 2 1/2 mins on micro high. Remove and store in airtight container and refregirate it.

Spicy Tomato Chutney - A travel recipe

Many prefer to take home made dishes while travelling. Tomato chutney is one such. Adding a bit more spiciness to it will enhance the taste and life of the chutney. Ingredients: Tomato - 6 nos Ginger - 1 inch piece Garlic - 6 pods Red Chillies - 8 nos Shallots (Small Onions) - 6 nos Salt - to tast Oil - 3 tbsp Mustard - 1/2 spn Hing - 2 pinches Method: Grind all the ingredients except oil and mustard seeds in a blender to a very fine paste. Add oil in a shallow bottom pan and when hot add mustard seeds. When the splutter add the ground paste and cook well till the oil floats on top. Note: Keep stirring occassionally so that the paste doesnot settle at the bottom of the pan.

Recipe for Urad Dal Kanji

A kanji that is good for the hip bones of women and for the heart of men, this Urad Dal Kanji helps in easy delivery for pregnant women. Ingredients: Urad Dal - 1/4 kg Palm Jaggery - 1/2 kg Cardamom - 1 or 2 nos Dried Ginger - 1/2 inch Coconut - 1 big. Method: Grate the coconut and grind it and take coconut milk (full thick and 2nd milk). Fry the Urad dal till it becomes golden brown in colour. Set aside and let it cool. Soak in water for about 1/2 an hour. Mash the palm jaggery and dissolve it in 1/2 litre hot water. Grind urad dal in grinder and when it becomes soft add ground cardomom powder and dried ginger powder. Add another 1/2 litre of water and keep stirring it in low flame till it starts boiling. Strain the palm jaggery and add it to the urad dal. Keep stirring till it becomes thick. Add the 2nd extract coconut milk and a pinch of salt. Red Chutney Recipe for Chat

This chutney can be used in all the chat items. Ingredients: Red Chilly - 12 nos Green Chilly - 1 no Garlic Pods - 4 nos Ginger - 1 inch piece Salt to taste. Method: Grind all the ingredients together using very less water. Store in an airtight container. This can be used for about 2 weeks if refregirated.
