Ribbon Pakoda is a crispy snack that is made during festive seasons especially Diwali. But that being very crispy, old people cannot eat it with ease. Making it soft will help them to relish it. Small babies too will be able to enjoy it.

Moong Dal Powder - 1/4 cup
Fried Bengal Gram Dal Powder - 1 cup
Salt - 2 tbsp
Butter - 1/4 cup
Cumin - 2 tsp
Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Solid asafodeita - 1 inch
Oil - for frying

Add salt in 1/4 cup of water. Soak hing in 1/4 cup of water. Mix processed rice flour, moong dal powder and broken bengal gram dal powder in a shallow bowl. Add butter and mix thoroughly. Add the salt water and hing water. The water in these should be enough if not add very little water and make it to a fine dough.

Heat oil in a frying pan. When hot reduce the flame and squeeze the dough using ribbon pakoda plate. Increase the heat and turn both sides till they become golden brown in colour. Remove from flame. This will not be crispy but a little soft.
