Seeyam Chettinadu Sweet Special

The sweets that are made in Chettinadu Cuisine are very tasty and healthy too. 

Moong Dal - 1 cup
Cashew Nuts - 6 nos
Coconut Grated - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Brown Sugar -  1/2  cup
Sugar - 2 tsp
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying

Cook Moong Dal and mash it coarsely. Divide into two parts. Add sugar to one part and mash well and make it to a paste consistency. 

Fry cashew nuts in ghee. Add the remaining moong dal and mix well. Add grated coconut and brown sugar to it and mix well. Remove from flame and add cardamom powder and mix again. Make small balls of this, dip in the pasty batter and fry in oil till golden brown.
