Macroni or Pasta I am not so sure, how this is called, but this is one of the favourite dishes of my daughter. Initially I used to get the ready to cook ones, then shifted to the Bambino brand which supplies different shapes, like shell pasta, tube pasta and the likes. Tried out Desi Style using the shell pasta. Ingredients: Tomato - 2 to 3 nos depending upon the size Onions - 2 nos Green Chillies - 1 nos Sambar Powder - 1 tsp Oil - 1 tbsp Ghee - 1 tbsp Cheese - 1/2 cube or 1 cheese slice optional Salt - 1/2 tbsp (add more if needed) Method: Cut onions into small pieces. Make a paste out of tomato, green chilly and sambar powder. In a pressure cooker or pressure pan heat oil and saute onion till it turns glassy. Add the pasta and the ground paste and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water and salt and mix well from bottom to top. Cover the lid and cook it for 3 whistles. Open and add the cheese cubes or cheese singles. Serve hot. Variations: Can add finely chooped carrots, peas, cauliflower, beans too to give more taste. |
