This multipurpose powder can be used to make so many items in a jiffy. This powder can be used to make instant Puliyotharai, Araithu vitta sambar, podi potta kaai, Brinjal bath etc. This is very easy to make and easy to use too. Ingredients: Channa Dal (Bengal Gram Dal) - 2 cups Thuvar Dal - 2 cups Ground nut - 1 cup Curry Leaves - 1 cup Copra - 1 no. Solid Asafodeita - 1/2 inch sized Red Chilly - 4 cups Oil - 4 tbsp Method: Add oil in a hot pan and fry all the ingredients except copra one by one till they turn golden brown. Cut Copra into small pieces and fry them in dry pan, grind it separately. When warm grind the fried items to a fine powder. Mix it with the copra powder and store it in an airtight container in deep freezer. It can be used whenever needed. Note: Add salt if you are mixing it with hot rice and gingely oil Add water and give it a whirl in mixie (use the required quantity), when you are making araichu vitta sambar. If you store the copra powder and the remaining separately, while making araichu vitta sambar you can add freshly grated coconut and grind it along with the powder. While making bisibela bath, you can use it as it is. |
