Moong Dal Halwa is a typical Rajasthani sweet which never fails to place its entry in any of their feast. With the help of a Facebook group United By Food, I came to know of OPOS - One Pot One Shot method of making it with less ghee and less work. Here is the method I wish to share which I had learnt. Ofcourse as usual, I did make slight changes to the ingredient which gave a different taste. Though OPOS recipes are standardised, I do make changes even to them to satisfy the taste buds of my family.

Moong Dal Rawa - (Dry roast Moong Dal and grind them coarsely) - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Condensed milk - 1 tbsp (optional)
Water - 1/4 cup
Milk - 3/4 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 10 to 12 nos.
Small size pressure cooker

I used 1 1/2 litre aluminium cooker, though the standard vessel to be used is Stainless steel pressure cooker and induction stove. Mix in all the ingredients in the pressure cooker and put it on the smallest burner and keep in medium flame for 3 whistles. Remove from flame right after the whistle and let it cool. Transfer it to a serving container.

Easy to make delicious special halwa for your guests.
