Capsicum Sambar by Uma Sridharan

Toor dhal : 1/2 cup
Capsicum : 2
Tamarind : small lemon size size
Sambhar powder : 4 tsp
Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
Asafetida : 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder : a pinch
Curry leaves: few
Ghee : 2 tsp
Coriander leaves : finely chopped 1 tbsp

Add turmeric powder and pressure cook dhal.
Extract tamarind juice and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds. Add capsicum and sauté for 3 mts.
Pour tamarind extract and Sambhar powder, asafoetida and salt. Bring it to boil until raw taste leaves.
Mash the cooked dhal and add it to the Sambhar.
Adjust the consistency. 
Allow to boil for 4-5 minutes in sim flame.
Remove from stove top. Now sprinkle curry leaves and coriander leaves.
