If you are quite apprehensive to make Mysore Pak this Diwali, try this Besan Burfi.

Bengal Gram - 1 cup
Powdered Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Almond Flakes - 1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp

Heat the ghee and reduce the flame and cook the besan flour in it till the raw smell goes. Ensure it does not stick to the bottom or changes in colour. Add the sugar to the pan and turn it well. Mix in cardamom powder and half of the almond flakes and remove from fire.

Keep a greased pan ready and once the cooked mix is removed from fire pour it in the greased pan. Make indents in the plate and decorate it with almond flakes. When firm cut the pieces.

Spread out on an inverted greased plate. When firm cut into squares. Besan ki burfi is ready to be eaten.
