Vegetable Jalfarize is one dish which we order regularly during our restaurant visits. I have tried it at home a few times but did not fry it that much as it is done in the restaurants. Tried out baking it along with a dash of cheese and Paneer and it became a great hit with kids Ingredients: French Beans - 100 gms Carrots - 100 gms Cauliflower - 1 cup florets Green Peas - 100 gms Onion - 2 nos Tomato - 1 kg Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp Green Chilly- 1 no Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup Paneer - 100 gms Cheese - 1 cube Oil - 4 tsp Salt to taste Method: Chop onions and 1 tomato finely. Grate Paneer, green chillies. Wash and clean the vegetables and chop them finely. Make a puree of the remaining tomatoes. Chop coriander leaves finely. Preheat the OTG at 200 deg for 10 mins. In a pan heat oil and fry the onions. When it turns glossy add the tomatoes and chopped green chilly and saute them for a while. Mash the tomatoes while sauteing. Add the vegetables, chilly powder, garam masala and salt and saute them again for a few mins. Sprinkle coriander leaves and spread the tomato puree on top and sprinkle grated paneer and cheese. Bake it for 10 mins in 200 deg C |
