Baby Potato pickled curry

Baby Potato is loved by all age groups. Any dish that is made using Baby Potato goes well with both south Indian dishes and North Indian Pulavs. This is a Punjabi dish that has the flavours of Punjab. This is a dry Subzi

Ingredients:
Baby Potato - 1/2 kg
Pickle Powder - 2 tbsp
Asafodeita - 1/2 tsp
Gingely Oil - 2 tbsp
Refined Oil - 1 tbsp
Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Kalonji (Onion Seeds) - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Black Salt - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Malt Vinegar - 2 tsps

Method:
Wash and clean the baby potatoes. Prick them with a fork and set it aside. In a hard bottom pan add gingely oil and refined oil. Add asafodeita, onion seeds and saute for a minute. Add the potatoes and stir well. Add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder and a cup of water. Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked. Add the fennel powder, pickle powder, salt, sugar and black salt and mix well. Add the malt vinegar and 1/2 cup of water. Cook till all the water gets absorbed and the subzi is dry. 

Serve hot.
