Baby Potato is loved by all age groups. Any dish that is made using Baby Potato goes well with both south Indian dishes and North Indian Pulavs. This is a Punjabi dish that has the flavours of Punjab. This is a dry Subzi Ingredients: Baby Potato - 1/2 kg Pickle Powder - 2 tbsp Fennel Powder - 1 tsp Asafodeita - 1/2 tsp Gingely Oil - 2 tbsp Refined Oil - 1 tbsp Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp Kalonji (Onion Seeds) - 1/2 tsp Salt to taste Black Salt - 1/4 tsp Sugar - 1 tsp Malt Vinegar - 2 tsps Method: Wash and clean the baby potatoes. Prick them with a fork and set it aside. In a hard bottom pan add gingely oil and refined oil. Add asafodeita, onion seeds and saute for a minute. Add the potatoes and stir well. Add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder and a cup of water. Cover and cook till the potatoes are cooked. Add the fennel powder, pickle powder, salt, sugar and black salt and mix well. Add the malt vinegar and 1/2 cup of water. Cook till all the water gets absorbed and the subzi is dry. Serve hot. |
