Pathiya Samayal Contest entry by Jyotsna Ingredients - Black peppercorn - 2tbsp sukku - 2/3 Dhaniya - ¼ cup Red chillies - about 7-8 Thuvaram paruppu - fistful (optional) Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp Sundaikkai - ¼ cup veppampoo - ¾ cup (sundaikkai and veppampoo form one whole cup) a pinch of perungaayam Curry leaves - few salt to taste Method: 1. Dry roast sundaikkai and veppampoo with hing separately and keep aside 2. roast all other ingredients with little oil 3. Grind all with salt as per taste and make a nice powder Serve with hot rice and ghee.. |
