Pathiya Samayal Contest Entry by Kanthi Narayanan

Ingredients :
Tuvaram paruppu - 1/2 cup (4 OZ)
Manjal - A pinch
Salt - 1 teaspoon or to taste

Varuthu arekka padarthangal :
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Ulutham paruppu - 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
Dhaniya seeds - 3 teaspoons
Milagu - 1 teaspoon
Jeeragam - 1/2 teaspoon
Perungayam - A pinch
Kariveppilai - 10 leaves
Dry Cocoanut - 1/4 cup (2 OZ)

Method :
Cook the paruppu with manjal. Saute other ingredients in oil to golden brown and grind to smooth paste. Add this paste and salt to the paruppu and boil well. Serve with rice.
